MISSION

To foster cooperation in clean coal initiatives between the governments, business communities and researchers of Queensland and Wyoming - the largest coal producing states in Australia and the United States.

The conference was hosted by the University of Queensland in cooperation with the University of Wyoming, and the Queensland and Wyoming State Governments. The conference was attended by 70 invited delegates from government, business and research institutions representing the States of Queensland and Wyoming.

 

The key-note addresses given by Hon. Geoff Wilson, Minister for Mines and Energy, Queensland Government and by Bob Jensen, CEO, Wyoming Business Council and representative of the Governor of Wyoming were followed by 13 invited presentations on different aspects of existing and emerging Clean Coal Technologies. The discussion groups held on the conference day 2, have identified critical gaps in existing technologies that may be a subject of effective cooperation between the two states.
